Mike O'Neill appointed Chief Executive Officer for Nala Renewables
Download 2023 Sustainability ReportDownload 2023 Sustainability Report (Español)London, 20 December 2024 - Nala Renewables, a global power and renewable energy investment platform and an independent power producer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike O’Neill as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective 20 January 2025.

Mike brings 30 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, helping to advance large-scale renewable energy projects globally. Mike has a strong track record in leading and expanding energy businesses across various markets and parts of the value chain including development, M&A and investments, finance and operations.
Before joining Nala Renewables Mike was CEO at Hive Renewables, leading the development of, and investment, in large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects internationally. Prior to this, Mike was CEO of Element Power where he spent 10 years building the company into a global renewable energy business. This followed a successful career at RES where he was the Group CFO and Commercial Director, helping to grow RES into one of the leading independent companies in the global renewable energy sector.
Stephen Riley, Chair of the Nala Renewables’ Supervisory Committee said: “We are really pleased to have Mike join as CEO to lead the company toward reaching the ambitious targets set by its shareholders.
